Introduction:
At Green Living Global, our foremost commitment is to instill the principles of sustainability across every facet of our lives, recognizing it as the pivotal subject for students and their families in reshaping our future.
Previously known as Green Living Association, we launched the first Environmental Education campaign, ‘Kids’ Action to Restore Environment’ (KARE), in 2007. This initiative encouraged students in Lahore schools to participate in the inaugural Green Quiz, which highlighted the growing gap between common lifestyles and environmental preservation. Recognizing that environmental degradation stemmed from human exclusivity consciousness and a lack of genuine will, GLA established its vision and objectives.
Working:
At Green Living Association, we’ve been busy educating students and families about Environmental Conservation through colourful and engaging activities until 2023. We’ve organized Green Exhibitions, Environmental Quizzes, Green Performing Arts, Carnivals, and Environmental Walks. What makes our approach unique is that we declare each participating student a Green Ambassador and recognize their efforts, which has greatly contributed to the success of our local efforts.
Through participation in our green activities, students and their families gain insights into the critical environmental challenges facing our homeland and the planet. They also understand the pivotal role of human action in effectively addressing these challenges. This engagement empowers them to brainstorm innovative initiatives as future leaders and stakeholders in environmental conservation.
Achievements:
We have reached significant milestones through the completion of three 5-year campaigns: ‘Kids’ Action to Restore Environment (KARE),’ ‘Collective Action to Restore Environment (CARE),’ and ‘Collective Action to Control Climate Change (CATCH).’ Green Living Global has now evolved to launch our new five-year global campaign, ‘Save Environment with Evolved Knowledge’ (SEEK). This initiative aims to raise global awareness about fundamental environmental and social concepts, illustrating how human activity has contributed to environmental degradation and how focused, collective action can effectively address these and other societal challenges.
Upholding Strict Moral Values:
In alignment with our noble objectives, Green Living Global steadfastly declines any funding or donations from local or external sources. Our remarkable achievements since 2007 are solely attributable to our internal fund management and rigorous expense controls, without accepting a single rupee from outside the organization.
